Mer Dress was created to capture the client’s strong aesthetic vision, inspired by the oceanic landscape. Guided by the concept of what the sea washes ashore, the piece seeks to evoke the lights and remnants the sea offers us.
The use of nylon lace and iridescent silk made it possible to recreate the textures and draping envisioned from the very beginning of the project. Although it originated from an initial sketch, Mer Dress evolved through experimentation, with dyes and gathers transforming the fabric to achieve a more organic and enigmatic result.
